Ingredients:

  • 15 ml vodka
  • 15 ml London dry gin
  • 15 ml silver tequila
  • 15 ml white rum
  • 15 ml triple sec
  • 30 ml fresh strawberry purée
  • 22 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 15 ml simple syrup
  • 30 ml cola
  • 1 fresh strawberry, sliced
  • 1 lemon wheel

Instructions:

  1. Pour the spirits. Combine the 15 ml vodka, 15 ml gin, 15 ml tequila, 15 ml rum, and 15 ml triple sec in your shaker. Note: This creates the high proof base.
  2. Add the fruit elements. Pour in the 30 ml fresh strawberry puree, 22 ml lemon juice, and 15 ml simple syrup.
  3. Ice it down. Fill the shaker 3/4 full with large, solid ice cubes. Avoid crushed ice here as it will dilute the drink too fast during the shake.
  4. The big shake. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until the shaker feels painfully cold and frosty.
  5. Prep the glass. Fill your highball glass with fresh ice. Crushed ice is great here for that slushy summer feel.
  6. Strain carefully. Use the Hawthorne strainer to pour the mixture into the glass. Watch for a vibrant, uniform crimson color.
  7. Add the fizz. Top with 30 ml of cola. Do not pour it all at once; let it settle into the crevices of the ice.
  8. The final stir. Use the bar spoon to lift the fruit mixture from the bottom once or twice. Avoid over stirring or you will lose the bubbles.
  9. Garnish and serve. Slide the strawberry slices and lemon wheel into the top.
