Ingredients:
- 15 ml vodka
- 15 ml London dry gin
- 15 ml silver tequila
- 15 ml white rum
- 15 ml triple sec
- 30 ml fresh strawberry purée
- 22 ml fresh lemon juice
- 15 ml simple syrup
- 30 ml cola
- 1 fresh strawberry, sliced
- 1 lemon wheel
Instructions:
- Pour the spirits. Combine the 15 ml vodka, 15 ml gin, 15 ml tequila, 15 ml rum, and 15 ml triple sec in your shaker. Note: This creates the high proof base.
- Add the fruit elements. Pour in the 30 ml fresh strawberry puree, 22 ml lemon juice, and 15 ml simple syrup.
- Ice it down. Fill the shaker 3/4 full with large, solid ice cubes. Avoid crushed ice here as it will dilute the drink too fast during the shake.
- The big shake. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until the shaker feels painfully cold and frosty.
- Prep the glass. Fill your highball glass with fresh ice. Crushed ice is great here for that slushy summer feel.
- Strain carefully. Use the Hawthorne strainer to pour the mixture into the glass. Watch for a vibrant, uniform crimson color.
- Add the fizz. Top with 30 ml of cola. Do not pour it all at once; let it settle into the crevices of the ice.
- The final stir. Use the bar spoon to lift the fruit mixture from the bottom once or twice. Avoid over stirring or you will lose the bubbles.
- Garnish and serve. Slide the strawberry slices and lemon wheel into the top.
