Ingredients:

  • 450g Lean ground beef (90/10)
  • 240ml Stove top stuffing mix
  • 1 Large egg
  • 120ml Water
  • 15ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 2.5g Onion powder
  • 1.25g Black pepper
  • 60ml Reduced sugar ketchup
  • 15ml Dijon mustard
  • 5ml Apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Combine 240ml stuffing mix and 120ml water in a large bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes.
  2. Add 450g ground beef, 15ml Worcestershire, 2.5g onion powder, and 1.25g pepper to the bowl.
  3. Incorporate the beaten egg into the meat mixture using your hands or a fork. Mix until just combined to avoid a rubbery texture.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into oval patties about 2cm thick.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk the 60ml ketchup, 15ml Dijon mustard, and 5ml apple cider vinegar until smooth and glossy.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat with a splash of oil. Place patties in the pan until a dark brown crust forms (about 5 minutes).
  7. Turn the patties over and immediately spoon the glaze over the browned side.
  8. Cover the pan and cook for another 10 to 12 minutes until the center is no longer pink and reaches 71°C.
  9. Remove from heat and let the meatloaf sit for 3 minutes.
