Ingredients:
- 450g Lean ground beef (90/10)
- 240ml Stove top stuffing mix
- 1 Large egg
- 120ml Water
- 15ml Worcestershire sauce
- 2.5g Onion powder
- 1.25g Black pepper
- 60ml Reduced sugar ketchup
- 15ml Dijon mustard
- 5ml Apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
- Combine 240ml stuffing mix and 120ml water in a large bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes.
- Add 450g ground beef, 15ml Worcestershire, 2.5g onion powder, and 1.25g pepper to the bowl.
- Incorporate the beaten egg into the meat mixture using your hands or a fork. Mix until just combined to avoid a rubbery texture.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into oval patties about 2cm thick.
- In a small bowl, whisk the 60ml ketchup, 15ml Dijon mustard, and 5ml apple cider vinegar until smooth and glossy.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat with a splash of oil. Place patties in the pan until a dark brown crust forms (about 5 minutes).
- Turn the patties over and immediately spoon the glaze over the browned side.
- Cover the pan and cook for another 10 to 12 minutes until the center is no longer pink and reaches 71°C.
- Remove from heat and let the meatloaf sit for 3 minutes.
