Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp light agave nectar
  • 1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 oz reposado tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz orange liqueur
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1 lime wedge

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the agave, water, and broken cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer for 2 minutes until the liquid turns light amber. Remove from heat and let sit for 1 minute.
  2. On a small plate, mix the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and sea salt. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip into the mixture at a 45-degree angle to coat.
  3. Add the reposado tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, bitters, and the strained flash-infused cinnamon agave into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until well-chilled and aerated, then strain into the prepared glass.
