Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp light agave nectar
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 oz reposado tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz orange liqueur
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 0.25 tsp flaky sea salt
- 1 lime wedge
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the agave, water, and broken cinnamon stick. Bring to a simmer for 2 minutes until the liquid turns light amber. Remove from heat and let sit for 1 minute.
- On a small plate, mix the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and sea salt. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip into the mixture at a 45-degree angle to coat.
- Add the reposado tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, bitters, and the strained flash-infused cinnamon agave into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until well-chilled and aerated, then strain into the prepared glass.
