Ingredients:
- 3 cups (540g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (at least 60% cacao)
- 1 can (14 oz / 397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, cubed at room temperature
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 cup festive red and green sprinkles
- 1/4 cup white chocolate melts
Instructions:
- Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an inch of overhang on all sides to create a sling for easy removal.
- In a heavy-bottomed saucepan or large microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and cubed butter.
- Heat using a low-impact method. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring vigorously between each, until the mixture is 90% melted. Let the residual heat finish the melting process to avoid separating the cocoa butter.
- Once the mixture is glossy and uniform, remove from heat and fold in the vanilla extract and fine sea salt.
- Pour the warm fudge into the prepared pan. Use an offset spatula to smooth the top and tap the pan firmly on the counter to release air bubbles.
- Top with festive sprinkles and drizzle with melted white chocolate if desired. Chill for at least 3 hours before slicing into 36 squares.
