Ingredients:

  • 8 large Chicken Wings (separated into flats and drums, approx. 560g raw total)
  • 1.5 tsp Aluminum-Free Baking Powder
  • 1.5 tbsp Neutral Oil (such as Avocado or Grapeseed)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Pat the wings thoroughly dry using paper towels. Residual moisture is the enemy of crispiness. Ensure they are completely dry.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with 1.5 tbsp of neutral oil until lightly coated. Then sprinkle the baking powder, salt, and pepper over the wings and toss until every piece is evenly covered in the seasoning mixture.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overlap or overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary to ensure maximum crispiness.
  4. Cook for a total of 18 to 20 minutes. Flip the wings halfway through the cooking process (around the 10-minute mark). Cook until the skin is golden brown, shatteringly crisp, and the internal temperature of the meat reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Remove the crispy air fryer chicken wings immediately from the basket and serve plain or tossed in your favorite sauce.
