Ingredients:
- 4 cups powdered sugar (500g), sifted
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (113g), softened
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 4 tablespoons heavy cream (approx. 60g)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 pinch fine sea salt
- gel food coloring as needed
Instructions:
- Sift the powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl. Add the softened butter and beat on low speed using a paddle attachment until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Add the light corn syrup, vanilla extract, sea salt, and 3 tablespoons of heavy cream. Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and whip for exactly 2 minutes until the frosting is bright white and velvety.
- Check the consistency. If the frosting is too stiff, add the remaining tablespoon of cream. For flooding consistency, continue adding cream in small increments until the desired flow is reached.
